Drop Boxes
The League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara urges you to use an official Ballot Drop Box to return your mail-in ballots for this election. The drop boxes are open 24 hours a day beginning 29 days before a federal or state election through 8pm on Election night. The elections office has secure pickups scheduled for each drop box, and the ballots are returned directly to the main Elections Office in Santa Barbara for ballot processing. Locations of drop boxes will be included with the official ballots that are mailed to all registered voters.
Vote at Polls
You can always choose to vote at your polling place on Election Day instead of using the Vote-by-Mail ballot. On Election Day, all polling place locations are open from 7am. until 8pm. The location of your polling place will be included in your sample ballot and with your Vote-by-Mail ballot. You may also drop off your Vote-by-Mail ballot at any polling place on Election Day.
On the Ballot
The November ballot will include 14 state propositions, local propositions, and federal, state, county, and city races. LWV Santa Barbara is organizing forums for local candidates and a pros and cons forum for the ballot measures. Dates and times will be announced.
