Today, we are registering clients at the Neighborhood Clinics in Goleta and Isla Vista. Many of them are not yet registered to vote because they do not have cars, so they have not been automatically registered by the DMV.


Later this month and in October, we will participate with students from the Future Leaders of America group to register students in high schools in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria. (Students who turn 16 are eligible to pre-register to vote.) We will provide pizza to the students and then register or pre-register them to vote. (Note: Don't worry - they are NOT required obligated to register to vote in order to get pizza - it is available to all!) Once they turn 18, they are then automatically registered to vote and are notified by the county elections office that they can vote!
